mannn i just beat this and the dlc for the first time goat game honestly, so rewarding

gherman was so easy after orphan of kos

also to anyone who is hesitant about committing to this game or is finding it too difficult - i literally took 6 hours to beat the first boss and to kinda get the hang of things, but once u pass that stage you can really appreciate the game and how amazing it is

lol Bloodborne is the only platinum I've EVER gotten only because it's so straight forward. Just kill all bosses and get all weapons iirc. I hate pointless grindy s*** so I would never have gotten it otherwise.

Can anyone give some help ?? I started playing and I've been liking it a lot aside from getting my ass kicked. I've beat 3 bosses (thought blood starved beast was a story boss just realized it isn't) and I had to summon help for two of them, now I'm at vicar and I'm getting my ass kicked. I tried to summon the npc helper and the npc didnt even make it to the boss before it got killed. Maybe I should summon another player. Or should I just grind some levels? I'm off the game now but I think I'm like 25-27ish. I got the holy blade recently and it's okay (I've just heard it's a good weapon for new ppl lol). Before that I was using saw spear which I thought was good if a little weak. I think rn I just need to take a break for a day or so because I'm getting so frustrated

I just beat Vicar Amelia a few days ago after being stuck at her for a bit. First thing you should probably do is go to the Hemwick Charnel Lane area on the left of the entrance to the Vicar, make it to the optional boss there and kill her she’s not too hard, and after that you can level up.
To beat the Vicar I equipped my axe, stayed close to her and just kept swinging and dodging

vicar amelia is weak to fire damage so you can buff your weapon with fire and it might help. when fighting vicar go for her legs, she can be easily staggered if you just keep whaling on her legs. also, when you summon for a boss fight it increasing the health pool of the boss you're fighting so it kinda makes the boss fight harder than it would be if you didnt summon

honestly, it all comes it practise and memorising the attack patterns of the boss once you figure out when to and not to attack the game will become significantly easier

I had no idea summoning increased the boss's health. Good tips tho, thanks g. Is Ludwig's Holy Blade good or should I stick with the Saw Spear? Those are the two weapons I have now. I guess maybe it all just depends on play style

it definitely does depend on your play style. if you want a faster weapon with lower damage go for the saw spear but if you want the opposite for the holy blade. id personally go for the saw spear i played the entire game with the saw cleaver lol

same. there's a lot of cool s*** like the whirligig saw and the chikage, but i always go back to the saw cleaver.

ALL the weapons have potential to kick ass in this game. it all comes down to the playstyle you like.

On a brand new play through and forgot about these f*** boys, I hate them

Them and darkbeast paarl can suck a d***, hardest bosses on this game for me

If anyone has tips on shadows of yharnam other than go for the fire dude first I'd appreciate it, i have no idea how i f***ing beat these guys twice before
