goat game, truly one of my all-time favorites
i've gotten platinum, played it 4-5 times, watched video essays but if you asked me what it's about i wouldn't really know what to say lol
I checked online to see if there were any optional bosses I had missed and it turned out I had missed the whole Upper Cathedral Ward so I looked up how to get there and that’s where I eventually came across her. Now all I got left is the final boss, the DLC content and some of those chalice dungeons.
Nice. Make sure you do the dlc before the final boss obvi. The chalice dungeons are cool but very repetitive. They have some unique enemies but the layouts can get mundane.
Ive never fully completed the chalice dungeons.
10 year anniversary edition with 60 fps locked that’s definitely coming out next year 100% will make it objectively the greatest game OAT

I just started on the DLC and boy the difficulty gets turnt up from the get-go. I figured out within 5 minutes why it's called "The Old Hunters". These fellas are everywhere and I have not found a Lamp yet I like how the atmosphere is brighter in the DLC for a change, at least in the beginning where I am right now.

Dlc has the vest weapon but its a b**** to get.
Just came across the infamous Ludwig and beat him on my third try. Wasn’t this guys face part of a meme or something? I recognized him
Why the heck is Laurence messing me up like this?! Thought he was just a Cleric Beast on fire. I just beat Orphan of Kos and Lady Maria (both of which were very enjoyable and good) within like 5 tries but this Laurence fella is tryna make me grind for Blood Vials
Edit: And 10 minutes after writing this I beat him
Now I only have the final boss of the main game left...

Just beat the final boss and got a lil' worried cus I was thrown into NG+ automatically but luckily all my chalices and gear are still available

I'm real basic bro, haha. I just went with the Saw Cleaver and a clean outfit. The rest was just bobbing and weaving the attacks. After beating Elden Ring and its DLC, this game was honestly a breeze in comparison.
Here's a video of me beating up the orphan, captured on my PS5! My favourite boss fight in the game.

!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqSC_W1rRj4Never played ER but I can imagine how those enemies will make playing any prior Soulsborne game a breeze
I started off with Saw Cleaver too but switched over to LHB as soon as it became available. Not doing much damage with either yet, I'm at Hemwick Charnel Lane right now
You already started NG+? I hope you ate the 3 umbilical cords during your first playthrough and beat the secret final boss? If not, I think you can reload an earlier save if you got PS+
Always heard about how tough Arc builds are but I still underestimated it. Especially since I don't have PS+ and can't do glyph chalices. Extremely limited number of fire gems in the main game, bolt is even fewer and the type of slots they fill aren't ideal for my weapons Not a fan of cursed gems but it's looking like I'll have to resort to them
Going to drop the game for a while. Only playing it because I need two more trophies (beat the final boss without eating the cords ending and Pthumerian Queen dungeon). But the game is frustrating af. Arc taking some of my level ups without providing any benefits so I'm not doing much damage, I don't have much health. I constantly have <20 blood vials and limited bullets so I always have to think about when to use them. And the dying to some bullshit gets old Just ran around exploring last night and died because I went into a room with an unseen amygdala that grabbed me
Going to try and finish Nier Automata instead. Maybe Jedi Fallen Order so I can delete it and free space on my PS. Then come back to Bloodborne

Ouf, ER was my first Soulsborne game (after ER I played Dark Souls 1 and Dark Souls 3) and it is by far the hardest game I've ever played. Bloodborne (for the most part) felt like a walk in the park in comparison.
Cool man, I used the Saw Cleaver like 90% of the time and then once every full moon I pulled out the Kirkhammer. Now that I'm on NG+ I might choose another main weapon if I decide to play again.
Yeah, I did eat those 3 umbilical cords so I got to fight the secret final boss before I was thrown into NG+.
Only thing I have left are the chalice dungeons, but I'm not as motivated to do those because they've been very repetitive so far.

Played most of DS2 but Bloodborne is the only one I finished so far. Have DS1, 3 and Sekiro but I'll play them after. Then ER because I want to avoid the earlier games being too easy for me and would like to play them chronologically
I'd recommend LHB. Love the moveset and damage, I've used it on both characters I created
You can try and get the Platinum, it's really not that difficult. Most difficult ones are getting all 3 endings and doing the dungeons to get to the Pthumerian Queen

Nice, I got Sekiro as well but never finished it so I might get back to it at some point.
I have LHB upgraded to +7 or so but haven't given it much love in combat because it's very similar to the type of weapon I use in the previous Soulsborne games I played, and the Saw Cleaver was just so satisfying to use. I shall experiment more with other weapons if I go for another playthrough.
I probably could get the Platinum if I find the motivation to do all the chalice dungeons. We'll see if I decide to do it sooner or later. Right now I've only done some of the Pthumeru ones. Just unlocked Lower Pthumeru.

There's a specific route you need to take with the dungeons where some unlock resources that you'll need to get to the Queen. You can look that up, you don't need to do all of the dungeons. But some of them have some bullshit, like I think you need to do a dungeon where you have half health. The good thing is, dungeons don't get harder in NG+
I have mixed feelings about the Saw Cleaver. Love how fast the hits are but coming from the Hunter's Axe and LHB in my first playthrough, it really doesn't have the crowd control or ability to knock enemies back I would like. Think my playstyle just isn't aggressive enough for BB. Like you did exactly what you were supposed to against OoK in that gameplay you posted, I would've tried to stay back and heal a few times which would've gotten me killed

Ah cool. I see. Thanks for the info
Your Bloodborne build was my Elden Ring/Dark Souls build I always picked the heavy two-handed weapons that were slow but powerful and could knock-back/stagger enemies more easily. Using a faster, not-as-heavy weapon in Bloodborne is a change of pace for me.
Dlc has the vest weapon but its a b**** to get.
Aye man which weapon were you referring to in this post? I just beat the DLC and the main game. I'm curious to see if I got my hands on the weapon you were thinking of.

Ryuko or whatever. You had to go fight the two sharks.
Its my personal favourite.

Ah, yeah I got that one in the Fishing Hamlet earlier today. The Rakuyo. I haven’t used it yet but it’s in the bag so I might try it out.
It’s not that amygdala
Ok I just came across THAT Amygdala and now I’m consistently seeing YOU DIED on my screen

Yeah bruh lol
This used to be my fav (and the overall aesthetic still is) souls game but the boss roster just isn’t up to par consistently with DS3 & ER
still a 10/10 game tho
