It’s so cool to see the progress in real time, I bet it’s pretty much fully playable by the end of next year.
100+ hours in bloodborne and multiple playthroughs and I’m just now seeing that there’s an intro
I guess it triggers when you idle in the main menu, never done that before
Using LHB and Saw Cleaver on a Str/Arc build and I never struggled with Darkbeast Paarl like this on my first playthrough when I was using the Axe Feel like I can't even hit it, I'm right next to it with the standard Saw cleaver and just keep missing. Apparently the serrated bonus only applies when it's transformed. Going to use those vertical R1 slashes and fire paper if I need to
I know it's optional but I think it's the only boss I have access to right now and just want to beat it
Also, I knew how difficult it is to get gems but I didn't know it's THIS bad if you don't have Plus and access to Glyphs You basically get like 3 fire and bolt gems in the main game, other than that you just have to loot dungeons and hope you get lucky. And the best ones are cursed. Really makes an Arc build unviable, they could've given just a few more gems in the main game

That cool little CGI trailer? It’s lit.

Vertical/transformed slashes with the Saw Cleaver while standing under him made it a breeze for me. There’s definitely some bosses where you need a longer-reaching weapon or transform your trick weapon into something with more reach. Just make sure to roll away when he tries to charge his electric attack.

Yeah they shafted Arc builds in the base game and only through abusing chalice dungeons can you make it OP.
But on the other hand Arc was one of my favorite builds (with glyphs and farming gems). Fire gem saw spear/whirligig, BOOMhammer (my beloved), tonitrus for electricity damage, and the cool but limited spells. Peak hunter abomination.
Man I actually hate Forbidden Woods Annoying enemies and a nuisance to navigate. I just ran past most of the enemies and rushed to unlock the elevator shortcuts. Most of the time, I have no idea where I am and get lost. My boy said he won't play Bloodborne because the enemy designs are too scary and I thought he's a p****. But those snake balls actually make me uncomfortable
I just need to beat Pthumerian Queen with my 1st character and beat the main game on my 2nd character without consuming umbilical cords for the Platinum. I've spent like 130 hours on the 1st character, got LHB doing 200 damage + 445 with the gems I have. And I'm struggling on that dungeon where you have half health Stuck on Watchdog of the Old Lords, it fr feels impossible. And this isn't even the last boss in the dungeon
I'm starting to remember why I abandoned getting the Platinum
This game booting you into NG+ with no warning is the dumbest s*** ever. I missed on the boss fight at the end even though I had all the umbilical cords and everything because I answered the question in the affirmative??? I’m trying to enjoy this s*** blind and end up missing out and have to play the whole thing again to actually experience the last boss fight? wtf man I’m actually so pissed

I guess if you select letting the old man kill you it’s game over..
If you eat 3 umbilical cords you face the final boss after killing the old man
Eat less than 3 the old man is the final boss

Yeah I didn’t understand that at all. He basically asked if I was ready to die, and I thought answering yes would initiate the fight and saying no would let you go back and do optional bosses etc.

I feel like Souls games are too "mysterious". I wouldn't have an understanding of this game's plot if not for Vaatividya and other YouTubers, I don't think I would've known about the endings and umbilical cords if I didn't see it online
Because I don't have Plus and already ate 3 cords way earlier in my save, I had to put my save just before I fought Gehrman on a flash drive, beat the secret boss, reload that save, choose the ending where you don't fight Gehrman and then play the entire game again to get the last ending for the Platinum. Ridiculous that they expect people without Plus to either do this or play the entire game 3 times to get all endings

I think that style of storytelling is really cool but yeah it’s crazy to lock people out of huge story beats with absolutely no warning
With that being said I already beat Amelia on NG+, I’m fighting that moon presence mf if it’s the last thing I do
Played this game for the first time about 1-2 months ago and I'm replaying it again already with a new character. The gameplay is just so satisfying, and the atmosphere is on point. I NEED From Software to make a new semi-linear game (or a sequel to Bloodborne) that has the same feel in terms of controls and combat. Slicing up these freaky monsters just feels so good.
I freaking hate you Laurence. Second playthrough and this b****** still pissin' me off. Optional boss but still.
Edit: Got him
I never completed Eileen's quest so that's my goal right now. On my latest playthrough Henryk killed her so the questline ended, but now I'm on NG+ again and I'm gonna get it done.
Finished my NG+ run a couple days ago and beat all the bosses in the main game, gotta go thru again soon for the dlc. Felt so good to dog walk all the bosses that gave me issues on NG

Which bosses did you struggle the most with, and which are your favourite boss fights?
My main struggles were Laurence (DLC) and Ebrietas, but on my second playthrough I had no problem with Ebrietas. Laurence was still a bit annoying though (his wide swipes and fire damage, sheesh).
My favourite boss fights were for sure Orphan of Kos and Lady Maria.

First time through I had trouble with Gascoigne, Blood-Starved Beast, The One Reborn, and Ebrietas. Wiped the floor w all of them in NG+. Haven’t played any of the DLC yet, but my favorites were Martyr Logarius, Ebrietas, and Gehrman

Oh man, the DLC is great. I loved it. It's pretty short but packed.

The DLC is where it kicks it up a notch, insane boss run
