In The Mood For Love as a NFT coming soon!
Based on Jin Yucheng’s novel.
Tells the story of an enigmatic, self-made millionaire, Mr. Bao (Hu Ge), and his journey of reinvention from a young opportunist with a troubled past to the heights of the gilded city of Shanghai. Set against the backdrop of massive economic growth in 1990’s Shanghai, the series unveils the glamour that follows his dazzling wealth and his entanglement with four fabulous women that represent the pursuits of his life: adventure, honor, love and innocence.
UPDATE:
“Blossoms Shanghai” offers an homage to the “In the Mood for Love” director’s birthplace at the most intriguing moments in its recent history. The pilot is also directed by Wong. This is Wong’s first time behind the camera since 2013’s “The Grandmaster.”
While a movie is still in the works, that project now lives as “Blossoms Shanghai,”

Inn hope he doesn’t take too long with this
Still confused on how this will fit into a trilogy considering Days of Being Wild is literally the first movie in a trilogy with the same films and uses same characters 🤔🤔🤔

looks so good
apparently Wong worked on these for 5 years but also tinkered with them quite a bit, which obviously far from everyone is happy about... like the guy who wrote this article with tbh some fairly good points

But then there's some comparisons here where I actually think it looks kinda good?
the trailers are also actually the original trailers recut with the restored footage so you can compare those shots for yourself. Overall image quality is hugely improved without a doubt. Some very green-tinted stuff in the original looks more natural now, but in other shots there's a fairly strong green tint (In The Mood For Love will def be very controversial...).
Extremely hype to revisit Chungking, Fallen Angels and Happy Together through these though. Those films changed my whole perspective on cinema but because they were so impactful I only watched them once so far and now it's been a few years.
