I'm here atm but may wait cus i can't find a way to swap subs on Tencent Video. I wouuuld take a chance on it if this was filmed in Mandarin since i could learn from it but its in Shanghainese and i dont want a dub or to take eternity reading and misinterpreting subtitles

Usually its very easy to access Chinese shows uploaded on YouTube but i can't find this. Maybe the plan is to sell it to a streamer and prioritize China first. May have to wait for news

i wonder if one of the reasons for no subs is because every version of the show out there (that I've seen) has hardcoded chinese subs. is there a release that doesn't have hardcoded subs?

it was huge. was living there when it released. it had some meh reveiews at first but by the time the full show came out it seemed to gain love. Some of the filming locations in Shanghai became pretty much tourist attractions for photos

its weird theres no subs yet tho its like they dont want this to reach outside mainland. i've been procrastinating on watching cus it was be far too much energy to follow the mandarin and i wanted to watch the original Shanghainese version
