yup it's kinda wild how ppl ignore Jay Z's albums that are completely garbage but at the same time keep saying ''drake can't be the goat, he dropped Views or Scorpion or CLB'' even tho none of those are bad albums
As a New York nigga I cringe whenever Empire State of Mind comes on. Annoying ass song.
This is the way better anthem for your city

DJs be putting that bullshit on at the club and lounge I be looking over at the booth like
This is me when every single touring DJ plays Minnesota by Yachty
They really think they're doing something
As great as 4:44 and American Gangster was,.
Jay has never been as good as he used to be before he retired in 2003 lol.
When Jay came out of retirement and rapped on Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor in 2006, a lot of fans were wondering what happened to his voice and delivery lol. He sounded kinda off and rusty. The verse was still hard though. Especially in retrospect when you listen to it now.
Kingdom Come, Blueprint 3 and MCHG were all misses though with flashes of greatness here and there. The old Jay was something else.

Real s***. When you look back on an artists career their overall legacy will always outshine their missteps. Drake isn’t far enough removed from that yet, so people hyper focus on his “bad” projects. Jay is far enough along that people have mainly forgotten/ignored his duds. There’s double standards due to recency bias. But when it’s all said and done Drake will get his due
Shameful and embarrassing

Funny/ironic part about this is that Lupe wrote his “retirement” album too 💀
This site has always been weird with "popular" opinions. According to KTT, BP3 and 4:44 are bad and/or forgettable but Kingdom Come is not? Magna Carta not?

I never believed that but every now and then I wonder with all of the amazing double/triple entendres on the black album which Lupe is a master at lol.
Maybe Lupe was just inspired by being in on those sessions and started doing the crazy entendres as well.

It’s not that Drake drops bad albums per say, his low tier albums are actually way better that most goats. It’s that his high tier albums are not as good as the masterpieces that other goats have.

It’s called aging he’s a goat not an immortal god
His run is still unprecedented
Can someone explain why BT3 is so hated, it was my first Jay album and I loved it.
