Yeah IANAHB 1/2 are actually mad decent in hindsight, of course we all made fun of them in the moment but they were had bangers.
Rebirth sucked fasho.
P**** for lunch
Pop all the balloons and spit in the punch
Damn I'm bout to take a trip down memory lane
Vol 1 is amazing
literally miles better than every Em album you just mentioned
Literally the entire SoundCloud wave
Umm what.
I guarantee you no one but like the 5 ppl itt remembers or thinks fondly of Rebirth.
Also SoundCloud was that cloud rap like ASAP n them, nothing like the s***ty excuse for a rock album that is Rebirth.
Honestly the album was great for the time. Still holds up production wise. The MSG concert was one of the most legendary hip-hop shows ever. I was there. Straight up owned the moment and passed the torch at the same time. Death to Auto-tune was not the wave but other than that Jay killed it.
That no ID beat is outta this world imo
I wish more rappers would've hopped on it.
Blueprint 3 is a terrible album but DOA, Run this Town and Empire State of Mind are great songs.
I do think BP3 is Hov's worst album though
No way you don’t get a notification anytime someone mentions something drake related
No way you not on my d***

As a New York nigga I cringe whenever Empire State of Mind comes on. Annoying ass song.
DJs be putting that bullshit on at the club and lounge I be looking over at the booth like

It was easy to listen to and good for the radio ig, Alicia Keys got a pleasant voice
but man, s*** was played into the ground. It's like the number one song outside of Run This Town that gets played on any given Jay Z playlist since that album came out...
Tell someone who isn't that into rap to put on Jay Z, they put on one of those 2 songs guaranteed...

For the first couple years the album out NY rap radio would play more than half the tracklist so it was possible to hear Venus vs Mars a couple times a day. I was cool with that cause I always felt like that was a slept on track. S*** it was possible to hear So Ambitious, and while I think that song aged like milk, back then that was one of the more "out there" cuts from the album.
Over the last 5 years or so though the only song they play off that album is f***in Empire State of Mind...not even Run This Town or Everyday A Star is Born at least
current eminem is far worse than BP3 lol like astronomically worse
Kamikaze is very good. Possibly better than BP3

So Ambitious been on my top 3 for that album since it came out...
But I agree that the sound is very exclusive to the era. I feel like from 2009-2010 there was a small window where everything was sounding super radio pop friendly and BP3 fell into that
I liked all those Timbo beats tbh. Wish he would do a come back.
Plus those Pharrell collabs will always be classic. They shoulda did an album.

Music 2 b murdered by is actually really good tbh. Like the album single handedly got me back on Em. He finally got his sound in tune with the times, he doesn't have those goofy violin beats he loved doing
Eminem had that one album that was literally the worst rap album I've ever heard. The American flag one during the Trump era. Was truly awful.
Damn revisiting ianahb, what a nostalgia trip...
Definitely gonna have to send this thru the subwoofers n smoke up
