A good month for theaters. Crazy to think two of the potential biggest films of the year haven’t even come out yet (Avatar 3 & Wicked part 2)
Definitely the lack of action that's gonna hurt in Asia. A lot of my friends found it a bit unsatisfactory due to that.
Damn China dont fw capeshit movies no more.
Crazy to think Endgame made $612M in China and F4 will be lucky to make 1/100th of that lmao.

Fr there’s just so much more I get from Superman on every level

Fantastic Four is a good music but it could have done with a much longer runtime. It's clear A LOT of stuff was cut from it.

I hate that s***, man.
Concerning second Friday drop.
I think it’ll just cross $40M
This movie was def front loaded af. Honestly? It should’ve pushed to November, I think it would’ve done better
2023 really hurt Marvel man
Even if the movies are good, people are just tired of the MCU
They need to re-invent their entire formula post-Secret Wars, or do away with a “formula” altogether and just let the creatives work

I think they were scared of looking p**** and moving from Superman to an extent
And Disney prob has holiday animated movies they didn’t want tho interfering with
I think at this point we’re def in full blown superhero fatigue globally. This year has been the oddest batch of performances maybe ever. The biggest of the bunch is barely crawling over $600M, which in any prior year woulda been considered mid at best.
MCUs lucky they’re off for a year and only have their biggest franchises releasing in the next couple years, but I wonder what’s next for just the average new CBM. There’s gonna need to be some reset esp on budgets if this crop is any indication moving forward. Overseas haven’t convincingly cared about a single CBM this year

It's wild when you think that Deadpool 3 wasn't that long ago. Ngl tho, I'm not too mad at the superhero fatigue

It was only last year in the exact slot F4 is in. Crazy. But it had established characters and nostalgia bait, which has been Marvels cling to success in recent years
Ik people are gonna say now F4 shoulda moved or whatever, but late July is always MCUs spot. They have it again next year with Spider Man and iirc there’s a July 2027 MCU date now too right?

Fox legacy characters had to save the MCU after being mocked for years
Well somebody had to be the loser this summer between the three movies. Hate it had to be F4
I always thought releasing two CBM movies so similar to each in other in Superman and F4 was a mistake. This ain't 2016-2019 where superhero movie after superhero movie is making 700 million plus those days are done.
Superman probably gonna end up somewhere in the 600s. But l most people who saw it loved it or liked it enough to where WB, Zaslav, and especially Gunn and Safran are breathing a sigh of relief
