F*** my life

Smh. I don’t hate them viscerally as an entity like some do but I would’ve loved this to be distributed by one of the bigger, tentpole, traditional studios and given an old fashioned awards play roll out. This gonna roll out all over the world in a typical stilted a24 ass way. Sing Sing I swear didn’t even happen at all. Like just didn’t really materialise as a release or distributed film

I live in a county with a population of ~400,000 people on the East coast. Sing Sing was not shown in one theater within a 4 hour drive of me. Not a single screening, not even for a day.

Sing sing is out?

A24 picking up these movies left and right lately

Generally I'd agree with this but I'd have a better chance of seeing it within three months of its release if it did so... I'm kinda torn

it was given a weird ass limited release last month before a24 decided to give it a wider release in January

A24 should deffo keep Brady around and fund his next two films

i personally don't care that much if it's with a24. i know people like to harp on them for the sing sing disaster but they have done a good distributing their other titles. their films tend to be shown at the multiplexes and indie theaters near my area, and i don't even live in a highly populated area. plus with this film being a big Oscar contender, I can't see them f***ing up the distribution that much. i just hope that they are committed to screening this on 35mm and 70mm.

A24 currently has the two best picture front runners and the 3 favorites for best actor. Someone/something is absolutely going to get f***ed over.

Honestly don’t think this would be appealing to Netflix at all, 5-10 years ago maybe but deffo not now

Wow didn’t know about this movie, but a 3.5 hour epic biopic sounds great tbh

I was thinking this seemed like something Searchlight would grab, but then again A24 had Zone of Interest makes sense

Hopefully it gets a good push, still salty how they handled Iron Claw awards wise & recently sing sing wide release

Zone of Interest had a crappy wide release too but it still managed to win a couple Oscars, my guess is a late January release. Since Nicole Kidman just won at Venice this, Babygirl, and Queer/Sing Sing are all award potential now for A24. I don’t see them pushing all 4
