Seasons 4 and 5 are GOAT, season 5 in particular is the best television season ever made IMO. BB had a continuous upward trajectory for me

been rewatching this lately while i work out at home lol. just finished season 1. definitely thought it was probably the weakest season for years and while that still might be the case, i generally liked it a lot more this time out. it's definitely a bit rough around the edges (I think a lot of characters are very one dimensional in it and motivations get picked up and dropped very rapidly) and the writers strike obviously cut it short but yeah, think overall it was fun. already into s2 and feels like stakes are immediately higher.

Not even the best scene of the series but come on, this series was too good beginning to end. BCS ain't really get good until Chuck's death & Lalo's introduction which is like 3-4 seasons deep.

Either way both great shows. But some people are crazy taking BCS over BB.

BCS sprinkles just enough Breaking Bad type stuff across every season just to keep us watching

Saul not the same smart-ass wise cracking comedian either. He's a mopey grouch in better call saul despite being younger timeline wise

The whole time it felt like a drag because we all wanted to see him finally make the transition to Saul

the writing and cinematography of the first three BCS seasons is so much better than the first three of BB

Maybe the show is not better overall just of how insane BB s4,5a,5b are but its close

I enjoy the shaky cam of the first couple of seasons of BB

The later seasons were definitely filmed like a movie than a TV Show.

Then he regressed basically right after so they could spend time on Kim Goodman

Completely different vibes. with Breaking Bad, you had s*** going down every episode (except the Fly)

Apparently they were over budget and had to just shoot an episode in that one location so they wrote the fly

crazy that I don't actually hate the episode though. one of the weakest? sure, but we also had Walt nearly confessing to Jesse, which was pretty tense
