My theory is that the Zonai are the ancestors of the sheikah

I wonder whats the relationship between zonai and the different races, especially sheikah is , it was hinted at briefly in botw but with these tears that could be connected to every race and the focus on zonai now i want to see their history

I feel like the real tears, the golden one Zelda is holding, is related to the formation of the sheikah and so we’ll finally learn about their backstory and why they have the tear tattoos and the tear imagery. This game is really gonna answer a lot of long-standing questions I feel.

Maybe the first sheikah discovered the tears a long time ago and then used them to create the advanced tech link uses in botw. Kind of like how in mass effect we discovered the ancient Prothean tech and that boosted our own technological development

Maybe they contain massive power or data sort of like the triforce
