I think outright preventing you from healing during combat could be too much, even hard games like dark souls let you heal while fighting. I think what could fit tears is a sort of limited healing, similar to how genshin impact does it. In that game you can heal by eating food from the inventory (or from a craftable pouch that can contain a limited amount of food), but the more you eat the more characters' stomach gets filled, until its full and you have to wait a while before its emptied again. Zelda doesnt have to implement it the same of course. This sort of limited healing wouldnt make the game too hard for inexperienced players that make the majority of Zelda players, but would also prevent combat scenarios from being laughably easy
Yeah actually you right. The pouch thing now has me thinking of a reworking of the bottle system
we need the return of empty bottles
they no longer have a purpose though, you can just hold everything that you’d put in a bottle in your inventory
God the sound direction of botw is insane, feels more next gen than many next gen games. From what ive heard of totk, it seems that quality will be matched, for example the sound of the clay golems deactivating and falling down to the ground is so satisfying, s*** is auditory p***ography
