ElricI remember when my dad's work buddy brought his og Nintendo over to play Adventures of Link with me when I was like 5
I remember finding that golden Ocarina cart at the bottom of my (still) best friends box of games when we were 12, having no idea they kept making Zelda. That was the first time I ever pulled an all nighter 
I remember pre-ordering Majora's Mask a few years later which took every meager penny I could earn 
I remember dropping my copy of Electronic Gaming Monthly face down into a puddle cause I was so excited to see Wind Waker got three 10/10 scores

I believe you're (mostly?) fine as long as you don't connect to the Nintendo servers when you have the cfw active. I'd do a bit of research before doing anything though especially if you're worried about it getting banned (r/switchpirates is probably the best place).
