I've completed 2 divine beasts and a lot of shrines, so I don't feel too worried about that, but I guess the start of the game is gonna obviously spoil how BotW ends, maybe I should just speedrun the main quest of BotW and get onto TotK

Also one last question, if you complete BotW, does it force you into a NG+ situation, or let you reload to before the end so you can finish whatever sidequests you had left?

I'd say take your time enjoy the game it's very much worth it, tears of the kingdom isn't going anywhere anytime soon why limit yourself to one amazing game when u could play two

Just play bro. I beat the divine beasts, put 60-70 hours in, but never step foot in the castle in BOTW. Think anyone who plays BOTW for 10 hours can guess how the game ends.

I’m not worried about missing references to shrines and minor characters cus I played the s*** 7 years ago. Even if I beat it I wouldn’t remember every single detail.
