Botw dungeons are boring, bland, and short.
Actual memorable and fun locations? Lol
Those two areas are genuinely more fun than any of the divine beasts.

You tell me whats fun about going room after room in a linear route solving braindead easy puzzles in 2 seconds and ending after 15 minutes with a fight that lasts 4 hits. Not even trying to argue in bad faith cause this is the literal structure of the 2 dungeons i listed

Sounds like hogwarts legacy
I just can't even look at them as dungeons. They all have the same activate the terminal gimmick. Theres no mini bosses, no keys to find, etc...it's just so far removed from what a Zelda dungeon is. The stuff you have to do to board the beasts was more fun than the actual beasts themselves imo.
You know that dungeons didnt start with ocarina right? Without counting Zelda 1, a link to the past has dungeons and they're not similar to oot at all, besides having keys, being inside different unique structures and giving you a unique item. The layouts are very different, there arent many puzzles if any and can be done in any order. Also having different structures doesnt stop them from being dungeons, after all botw design ethos was breaking free from the redundant conventions. Im sure totk will have incredible dungeons, but they'll be closer to the divine beasts in design than older zeldas. Keys will still be kept at a minimum and we still wont get dungeon items. But that isnt bad because these things arent what made Zelda dungeons fun. A link between worlds has some of the best designed dungeons and they're also very different from standard

The two things I mentioned(keys and mini bosses) appear in dungeons before OoT. I am very aware dungeons didn't start with OoT
Of course not all Zelda dungeons are that mid, but dungeons arent good only based on appearance, this aint a Ubisoft game lmfao. Botw just has generally more complex dungeons than most previous ones and thats hardly arguable imo. They are far from perfect but not trash either. Dlc dungeon with a hyrule castle layout and enemy/chest placement would be goated, dlc had a great, unexpected boss as well, plus one of the coolest rewards ever

Botw had keys tho. And honestly aside from dark link, the skeleton pirate and the oot iron knuckle there arent any iconic minibosses to the point id keep them lmao
Maybe its just me, i simply much prefer dungeons like water temple, stone tower temple, sandship, Eagles tower, where the dungeons layout is important and a big puzzle in and of itself

Sleeping on Majora's Mask mini bosses
Sleeping on Majora's Mask mini bosses
They were pretty wacky and ridiculous ill give you that. A frog, the eye boss from lttp, a predator wizard and the Stone tower dude i dont even remember what he looks like. Not a strong lineup if you ask me!
majora got some stupid bosses too, especially the 3ds remake.
Goht is top 10 most fun bosses to fight tho

The ATMOSPHERE. I have to explode up a giant fossilized dodongos EYES to open his mouth to get to a later area. The spongy blue and red veins of the floor of lava that burns you. The statues that come to life for the first time and scare the f*** out of you. The flaming bats which burn your shield and send you in a panic. The giant f***ing king dodongo throwing bombs in his gullet to blow up his stomach so he can DIE. The music
big bro Gorons 🤣 the f***ing lizards with knives!!!! Meanwhile your favorite botw dungeon has... rotating pieces and mini guardian enemies that we see in every shrine.... just as simplistic of a puzzle lol. The boss fight is the only good thing about it but even then it's pretty f***ing s*** considering it's just another variant. Not even close in comparison in regards to variety, memorability, and atmosphere that when bundled together is a mind blowing experience...

It's really gonna be beef soon
Some of the magic might be lost just cause of advancements in video games but first time experience of Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask is something special
I like old games!
I've played them recently and they all hold up.... yall can't just say nostalgia cause you can't use a controller that predates 2010
Nostalgia can still effect how much you love something when you replay it
I also just played all of them in prep for totk, they’re classics but the shrine puzzles and puzzle mechanics in botw are peak Zelda

Why cause you can use gyro controls? Lol they're rinse and repeat

I don’t even use gyro controls
The mechanics are just well made, they’re more dynamic than previous tools, theres so many different applications for each tool when used in puzzles, combat, or traversal.
