Just checked the reddit for zelda and oh god some people are worried that the fusing mechanic isn't realistic and will break the immersion

Again, solely based on 15 minutes of gameplay where we've seen central hyrule and have had link walking on 4 Islands top, and disregarding aonuma saying multiple times hyrule was heavily changed, and that the new areas go beyond the islands of which we know almost nothing. This the last i'll say on this topic cause may 12th will make all the discussion pointless

Crazy to think that they still producing games at this caliber after so long. They sure got a great team

I guess in a very roundabout way, since in animal crossing you use a stick and stones/iron to craft equipment, but thats more similar to minecraft than totk, the only aspect they share is durability. Totk in turn has no crafting menu, its way more expansive, since you can fuse any item, and of course the weapons have very different uses
