Galaxy is too linear and too easy imo
Odyssey b******ized the open world format. In 64 and sunshine you have to explore and do s*** to get the stars, in odyssey you like take a few steps and find a star somewhere there’s like 30-40 in each level and they’re everywhere
you’re supposed to buy one with coins in each world. Sometimes you can have too much of a good thing. It felt special when you figured something out and got one of the 6 stars in a level. - Mar 28, 2023Chilla

you’re supposed to buy one with coins in each world. Sometimes you can have too much of a good thing. It felt special when you figured something out and got one of the 6 stars in a level. odyssey was just going for the constant dopamine hit of getting moons, i do agree that its not as rewarding but if anything its nice that 3d mario has that much variety from 64 to odyssey

This was my only issue with Odyssey. All-around really fun and charming game with great controls but the fact that you would find Moons everywhere made it feel a bit underwhelming because it didn't feel as rewarding to collect them.
