I think you're missing the point that Frank is a complete package type of guy. He's a better songwriter and he experiments with sounds and allat s***. Brent Faiyaz has an amazing voice but can you honestly tell me he makes better albums/writes better songs than Fronk?

Someone needs to make a thread on why they feel that Frank isn’t that great of a singer and what exactly makes him not that great of a singer, because I’ve only ever seen or heard that claim be made on KTT (now on KTT2) and it blows my mind every time I see it

I’ve heard it in person once from an insecure nerd who looked like frank zappa. Ppl just hold black vocalists to different standards and a lot of black vocalists respond by trying to be perfect.

Nobody ever talks about how john lennon and paul mccartney sounded like dying animals scratching a chalkboard trying to mimic soul and blues singers.

Bro, them niggas sounded terrible, but it’s not cool to criticize the Beatles like it’s not cool to criticize kendrick.

Frank can sound straight up childish vocally and I’m not talking about his pitcher vocals either. But it’s done with such a natural sense of meaning. When he sings, he’s not trying to do it. It just makes sense and comes out that way. Very few vocalists from any genre or recorded time period have that level of vocal candidness.

Frank and Marvin Gaye are in a class of their own.
