He’s a decent artist but KTT is doing its usual thing of overhyping someone whilst they’re still on the come-up. Once/if Brent hits superstar levels there will countless threads about how s*** his music is now, and how he sold out.

The boombust cycle of KTT never ends

    spot on

Brent Faiyaz real cool but he gonna stay underground and will still be legendary. On some D Angelo type s***

  • Apr 11, 2021

He won’t pass PND career achievements but I like him

I’m genuinely curious who takes the mantle when the Travis, Drake, Cole, Kendrick era passes by.

Those guys are superstars, household names.... I honestly don’t think the group after them is. Even the most popular guys like Uzi and Carti and Lil Baby and them..... I don’t see them reaching that status.

But I think that says more about the state of hip hop and how we as a society take in music now than it says about them as artists.

I think the era of the rap superstar might be over. And rap as a genre is bigger than it ever has been.
