saying you proud of me.. the sweetest words ever..
purest soul i know.. moms.. you deserve better...
whatever ailments you nursed me.. back to health..
defend me even when the enemy's.. in fact myself..
showed me love when all i seen was hate..
said i was special to impress you wanted to be seen as great..

sacrifice was our facts of life..

    i love..

can’t listen to that song without tearing up every time one of the most beautiful poignant songs ever

  • He’d want me to keep my head up

  • I miss Ka and Sean Price

  • Ka isn’t in my personal top 5 but as a writer he’s at the very top. His work needs to be in museums one day

Was there ever any BTS pics or articles about Ka’s process? His songs stand alone so much as pieces of art, it’s hard to imagine him actually making them

Since he passed I listen now and wonder if he was in actual studios recording with an engineer or if he had his own mic set up at his place and engineered himself?

He recorded at various studios throughout NYC and California. Grief Pedigree was recorded at Quad in Times Square in Manhattan. Some of his works were recorded at The End in Greenpoint Brooklyn, some at Virtue & Vice in Williamsburg BK. Languish Arts and Woeful Studies were both recorded in Cali at a studio called Studio City Sound. I think I recall him discussing in an interview how he preferred to work on music at night and thrived creatively in colder seasons. If I remember correctly that was probably something he discussed in the Red Bull interview which is essential viewing if you haven't yet seen it.

  • Left for dead, start moving rocks like Easter Sunday

from my remembering of his interviews and him discussing the process he gets lines from day to day and then at some point sits down and crafts an album; goes through each song and edits the lyrics, thinks of how each bar sounds and what sound would make sense for this or that part. then he does digging for samples and then i guess he gets to recording it. ill see if i still have any of those interviews in my browser history
