Love it. He keeps the beats so sparse so he can be heard and it fits so clean. My favorites are Every Now and Then, Unto the Dust, and Old Justice.

I think I'll appreciate the production with more listens cause the lack of drums on some of these loops didn't sit well with me but as you say for purposes of clarity and delivery I can look at it from a diff view when I go back to it.

Oh damn bro you gotta. I suggest Grief Pedigree and Honor Killed the Samurai first. But anything you listen to from him will give you an idea of what he's about––he's really consistent with his sound. Production is pretty much the only variable between projects.

And yeah all of it is minimal. His earliest solo project Iron Works has drums, but you might find it to sound kinda dated, but it's full of his hardest songs imo
