You know the mission boss: only KTT member with a Ka feature on their album. Lock it in 🫡🫡🫡
some like how i talk, but I'm a better listener
i live in these bars, might be hard to find a better prisoner
Interesting hearing Andre 3000 talk about how he has nothing to say through rap anymore. Ka is a testament to the opposite, obviously. If rap is a reflection of your life, surely you should have more to say as you age?
Although I completely get how he feels the “old rapper” is ostracized, because it’s true

Is it true now? It used to be, but I'm not so sure anymore. The underground is full of older rappers with s*** to say.

I mean Andre retired in every sense of the word by age 30. not having to work another day in multiple lives. im 28 now and that to me is just insane, that money is insane
those old underground rappers for the most part returned to rap once there appeared some stability in their life. woods worked odd jobs for 10 years before History Will Absolve Me blew up, KA was releasing music while working as well. there are much more lived experiences on their part; I can only imagine how many undrerground rappers dont talk about their daytime jobs (medhane is like an engineer now) and manage to find something to rap about in their lives
Andre on the other hand has been literally walking the earth for the last ~18 years of his life. raising a kid not having to worry about anything at ALL. going to laundromats just so he can talk to people. I am so not surprised he doesn't have much to say when it comes to raps, theres no incentive for him to rap and, I guess, no inspiration
he talked in that gq interview about how him and big boi were literally praying they could become the best rappers ever. and then they did so its like now what

I’m neutral on Andre as I really dig his Wind album and his features over the last decade plus, but there’s inspiration everywhere. Mos Def left the country and came back after he seen the Underground pop off. You telling me storytelling stops after you made it?

I mean ive not seen much storytelling in any LP format from Andre in particular. it's not set in stone and there are obviously tons of rich rappers who got something to say (Nas comes to mind), but with Andre it's clearly not working. I appreciate those features but im a marathon type of guy when it's all said and done. same reason why I as a whole love his albums and not just particular verses
