agree, one hundo p.
I've felt like hip hop has been in a lackluster state for a little while in terms of new acts. I can't remember the last time I came across a new act that stood out to me.
That being said, Magnum P.I. out now

No you just getting older bro.
This too. Music tends to excite you less when you get older.
I even remember my Dad not being sold on Kendrick at all when GKMC came out. He's still not to this day
U know hip hop is dead when niggas gotta result to listen to UK Rap
Dave album better than Tyler or J cole album
We're All Alone In This Together out now
Great artists lol? I like Little Simz but that's as far as it goes for UK rap
I swear Little Simz is really the ktt/reddit/fantano fan only UK artist they know, her and SlowThai lmao
It's kinda funny, though, how there was just a thread some weeks ago calling 2021 one of the best years in hip hop ever then you have this thread pop up.
Just goes to show how subjective hip hop is.

It's over of the best in terms of volume and who is dropping.
Its on par with other years in terms of quality of albums.
Everyone was gassing this year then drake drops some mid and all of a sudden the whole year mid
We just waiting on that Kendrick project to drop.
smh we’ve been starving out here listening mid J Cole music desperately trying to vibe.
A lot of y’all are just stuck on the same 4-5 rappers
Okay name some rappers who came up post 2017 that consistently make great projects

Well, Nas and Wayne are my personal GOAT's and I'm pleased with KD2 and Wayne's feature run this year.
That's what I mean by subjective. I'm a fan of Ye too(as an artist more so than a rapper) and Donda is dope to me. Not as great as some people make it out to be but better than his last 2 albums for sure.
I enjoy WLR, CMIYGL, Vince's album, Bo Jackson, Super What, and Pray For Haiti too.
Again, it's all subjective. It seems people looking for a magical year of nothing but great projects but 1996 was the last year where damn near every rap album was great.
