Don't think anyone calls Jack a one hit wonder on here lol he's proven himself as a hitmaker

The OP is literally questioning how the #1 song in the country for the last month has 60 million views lol. Not 600 million, 60 million is apparently unbelievable

“Biggest rap song of the 2020s” is mental illness, I haven’t heard this song played outside once. Maybe NYC just not jacking him

It's the biggest rap song of the 2020's and #1 on Billboard for a 4th week this week

the fact that i know that this is the truth but it’s borderline impossible to believe says a lot abt music the past couple years and how weak the charts have been

This can’t be true lol charts really mean nothing now.

  • Jan 31, 2024

This really doesn't feel like the biggest rap hit of the decade so far. Doesn't seem as inescapable as "The Box" or even "Big Energy"

Anyway, it's a catchy, formulaic pop rap song that doesn't suck. Nothing to be excited or mad about IMO

They don't mean nothing, it's just that old songs blowing up on Tik Tok have gotten bigger than new releases since 2022 onward. It will change again soon

Jack arguably has the most commercial potential of any rapper under 30 rn

He's the biggest rapper out right now

I wouldn't go that far because Jackman sold like 40k but you could argue that that was half an album at best. His next one will say a lot about his trajectory

From the writer of the OG song:

WHATEVER performed by Dale ( I changed my name to Cadillac Dale )
background Vocals by Shawn Harris & Meko Star
I released this song in 1995 bringing that New Jack swing vibe to Detroit.
The EP titled "Soulful Moaning 95", was a very successful project and "Soulful Moaning" is often considered to be a Detroit Classic.
"Whatever" took 29 years to get to your ears thanks to Jack Harlow. His new single "Lovin on Me" is a spitfire single according to Rolling Stone Magazine. Congratulations Jack!
    Great Work!

    Soulful Moaning. Nice
