They don't wanna acknowledge this for some reason

Quavo literally yelled out an Asian slur on Culture and nobody cared

Exactly what I thought of and it’s a billboard top song . Gambino has a whole song about loving Asian b****es . If an Asian has a whole song about loving black b****es Twitter would shutdown

I know I am saying the idea that all fans of anything treat it like a religion is the cringe part

Because racist say the same thing about rap in that regard

“ they can’t care about the n word they listen to rap it’s all money d**** b****es “

I am saying sweeping generalizations gets us nowhere

Modern day Hip Hop artist disrespect themselves and attracts disrespectful people in the process. Happens when there's zero artistic integrity inside of the music.

I think K-Pop stans are attempting to live through the artist and asians/Koreans obsession with fake-ness(sorry if I'm generalizing). The music is just a front for the cult.

I am essentially saying people hating on k pop for taking from black culture when black culture is the only culture of America . To reach the success and become worldwide what do you expect them to do .

Hikaru Utada is Japanese pop never culturally appropriated but has collaborated with black American artist and done video game music m

I am saying appropriation or collaboration the only way for them to advance outside of just Korea and rabid fans . Which eventually allows them to tour here . Are some of them super manufactured ? Yes . So our many of our pop stars with botted streams and chronically online fanbases

Some of the hatred towards k pop has some racism and ethnocentrism mixed in

saying a slur on a song, while not right, is straight up not the same as creating a trillion dollar industry that is a minstrel show. yall know this tho and are just bored and unemployed so you gonna argue it. probably why you listen to kpop in the first place.

Asians are more united point blank simple . pop like tyla radio fishes for controversy of “ she said she isn’t black because they say colored in Africa “ or “ she isn’t Rihanna “ . Our media itself tears down black pop artist and groups in an effort to separate them . Koreans united and proud of bts cause all that s*** boost their entire country economy. Americans we pit black artist against each other like they can’t all eat

The countries have beef just as our states and regions have beef it doesn’t change when music drops bts does crazy worldwide numbers. The beef isn’t the citizens . Your logic is not applicable when I’m referring to art

    1. I don't listen to Kpop on a regular basis whatsoever. I know a few artists and a few songs. Like any other genre, there's good and bad within it

    2. Calling an entire genre of music a "minstrel show" is no different than white people labeling all of hip-hop any number of negative words that they've thrown at it over the past half-century

The difference between hip hop and kpop is that the government doesnt fund hip hip as an industry to increase the united states cultural standing. The South Korean government views kpop as an industry similar to the auto or tech industry. All you have to do is just look at how these groups are formed and rolled out.

  • Unless there's a Charlie Kirk line I doubt jpeg wrote it it's probably production

  • F***ing dog s*** LMFAOOO

  • humey

so k/j pop is really just like a stand in for people who don’t want to engage with hip hop culture, it’s always pop Stan’s going on about these guys someone enlighten me if I’m being reductive

    Leave jpop out of this

jpop hardly focuses on international market so I never really heard them pulling this s*** off

And that just ties back to what I said earlier about cultural differences. Government in some Asian countries directly censor and control the art & media that their people get exposed to

I am only addressing this because this comes up on ktt and the internet so much . They clown Lupe who literally lived in Asia and did a documentary there for appreciating Asian culture yet when black people do it as a gimmick or say a slur it’s “ well everyone steals from us “ . The cost of being popular culture and dominating the culture is people copy . Chief Kerr went from Chicago to worldwide . GD went worldwide . There are people throwing rakes who have never stepped foot in Chicago . Joking about o block who will never step foot in Chicago that’s still apropriation
