most of the controversies surrounding the first game were intentional mischaracterizations like it being labeled a "columbine simulator". i think the nature of having a child protagonist do even nominally violent things on a school setting is always gonna create controversy

It ain't coming. Neither is gta vi. I'm all for some other company stepping up to the plate and doing an urban open world similar to this franchise. I'd love to see Naughty Dog attempt it, tbh. With their striking attention to detail and story for single player linear games, I think they would pull off something amazing.

I don't think Rockstar themselves even know how to go about handling a new game in this franchise. Do you keep the setting in high school? How do you handle combat? How do you make your plot interesting to fans of the first game, who are now approaching the age of 30?

Would much rather see another Max Payne or Midnight Club. Maybe even a new IP, but I wouldn't count on a Bully sequel
