Production was average. You're not topping African Giant and Outside with that type of production. Underwhelming album so far and I think the production is the main reason for this

Not the best sequel, the highs are nowhere near AG highs. The production is varied but at the same time he’s made better ‘poppy’ tracks. Overall I’m disappointed, Middle of the album is a bit meh but last 3 tracks are sensational I guess

clearly went for a pop direction, this obviously doesn't rival African Giant but there's some gems in there (notably 23 and Alarm Clock off first listen)

That's probably the point of the album. AG didn't win him the Grammy he was robbed of because it didn't sound like stereotypical African theme white people like to imagine. This album's change in direction is probably meant to help him win this time.
