Assuming anyone owns a business here on ktt-How did you start it? What motivated you? Is it your passion? What are common struggles? I just can’t work for the man anymore

How’d you go about finding them? Lawyer hooked you up or?

Go to a good professional accountant and let him do it for you, it will cost probably over $500 but it’s worth it if you don’t know what you’re doing.

Yeah I’ll look into that...my business is still home based so I never really thought I would need to deal with stuff like that right now

    I mean it depends

If your revenue is still relatively small then you might want to save as much, and instead of going to accountant, try researching and do taxes yourself. A lot of programs like TurboTax make it easy, they have options for stocks and business owners.

I’m the end still worth talking to an accountant, regardless of how much revenue you brought it.

Working my ass off with long hours and little pay while also working part time jobs in high school and college and and sacrificing large portions of my social life since then, researching everything about the industry, about business, navigating a mine field. But when it’s something you’re passionate about you navigate the field, you figure things out, you balance out things, and you eventually make it work. Unless you have rich parents or connections or are already rich, you’re going to work you ass off 95% of the time, even if it’s a local thing like a cafe. It’s a genuine grind, but if you want to do it, it’s worth it in my opinion. But it’s a hard and usually alienating process
