    TRUE DIVISIVE KINO

  • Dating back to the late 1800s and early 1900s, both terms are rooted in the ancient Greek kinema, “movement” or “motion.” In contemporary German, Polish, Russian, and Slavic languages, the shortened form kino has popularly come to mean “film,” “movie theater,” or “cinema.”

the worst type of film criticism is when people speculate about what could've been and neglect to talk about what is. which is basically 90% of film criticism these days.

Facts. 9/10 times “what should’ve happened” just proves why they’re not the one making movies lol

there's cases here or there where its valid but yeah for the most part its a lazy critique that's easy to write out and dismiss with

  • At least be pretentious and proud. It feels more pretentious to act like you view us as equals

  • I partially agree. Films can certainly be pretentious, but wear it well and honestly. It shouldn’t always be used as criticism (nor as praise), but simply as an indifferent description.
