Many would say yes, but i've told this before on here i personally, as a big fan of his work, think it's a bit overrated

1st half is quite the bore, 2nd half gets more spooky with some absolutely disgusting torture scenes, but no where near as ''fun'' as it was in Ichi. I like bleak films, but Audition is bleak in a way that doesn't work for Miike in my opinion

Now it may sound like i hate the film but i actually do like it, just not one that i'd wanna rewatch like i do with many of his other stuff
