So you telling me Denis isn’t perfect ?
Dang I warned him and he was still let down
Thats so random. Ivy Supersonic was the inventor of Scrat lmao. She was a guest on Patrice O’Neal’s show “Black Phillip” lmao never would’ve thought she was apart of our childhood 😂😂😂
This prob not pretentious enough but Devon Aoki's whip in 2Fast 2Furious is so early 2000s it's not even funny

It just wasn't Zhang Ziyi, Michelle Yeoh was a Malaysian with Chinese descent & Gong Li was Chinese too. Japanese folks were pissed cuz no Japanese women got any main roles, which doesn't help since Japan and China always had a rocky historical relationship since World War II (which the movie is set in.)
Plus part of the controversy is because Mineko Iwasaki, whose interviews were the basis for the story, was furious at her name being included in the acknowledgments (she had agreed to be interviewed but on some confidential s***). She was especially annoyed at the story making her seem like a prostitute which apparently got her death threats and had her fall out with friends in real life, and apparently her real-life story is a lot more interesting than the film; she overcame a near-fatal kidney disease, entertained Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles, etc.
The controversy behind the movie is pretty interesting when you look into it

Roger Deakins handling the cinematography with The Big Lebowski is something that i will never flex when discussing one of my favourite movies.
Yea I agree talent should be more important, but China & Japan's relationship always been tense and China bans / edits a lot of s*** it seems lol
I'd compare the controversy to something like Will Smith portraying that african doctor I suppose? Idk
Feel like this is the best place to ask: what are some movies you guys would recommend to someone who almost never watches movies?
I'm not a cinema type of dude, more literature and video games, but I decided to watch at least one movie a week to get into them. I watched The Prestige this week and I thought it was pretty good.
Need some high-quality movies to get into. Doesn't need to be popular or accessible either. Just good ass films.
Portrait of a Lady on fire
The big Lebowski
La Haine
Fallen Angels
The Raid Redemption
Black Swan
