I prefer Annihilation by a landslide feel like Ex Machina is overrated whereas Annihilation is pretty underrated
Imo Annihilation had one of the craziest most visceral body horror sequences of all time
A really memorable score
And all out bonkers third act
Ex Machina wasn’t bad, but i felt severely underwhelmed. Like what did it show us that hasn’t been done to death already in terms of rogue A.I?

Flying Lotus has announced his second feature film, as Deadline notes. He will direct the forthcoming sci-fi horror flick Ash, which centers on a woman who “wakes up on a distant planet and finds the crew of her space station viciously killed,” as stated in press materials. Production for Ash is scheduled to begin this summer. The film will feature an original score composed by Flying Lotus, too.
“I’ve a strong desire to innovate in the sci-fi space and I really want to show the world something they’ve never seen before,” Flying Lotus said of the movie in a press release. Ash is based on an original screenplay written by Jonni Remmler.
The new movie follows Flying Lotus’ debut feature Kuso, which premiered at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival—and inspired a number of walkouts, due its gory visuals. Ash will be produced by XYZ Films and GFC Films, while Echo Lake will executive produce. Casting for Ash is slated to begin later this month.
Finally got to seeing Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. An interesting takeaway for me is the airplane scene that begins The Final Act. August 8th or 8-8 is known as the Lions Gate. The alignment of the sun and Sirius (spiritual sun) which brings a higher consciousness. Seeing the ending and acid trip was pretty cool for Tarantino to include in his films. That’s what it took Pitt to survive was a higher consciousness against “the devil”

Not familiar with Manson but he must’ve been knowledgeable of astrology & the occult.

I’m not sure if this was intentional, QT doesn’t seem like the type of guy to be into this kind of stuff

Pretty sure that it’s Charles Mansons influence on the story. The acid trip seemed to be an extra detail and not just comedic relief.

Could just be a reference to the insane amount of psychedelics Manson made his followers take with him
I never ever have seen any real knowledge of the esoteric in QTs films
is Doctor Sleep good?
It's solid for a modern horror but I'm not a fan of them trying to totally explain why everything in the shining happened. Very well made tho
