So many simple-minded bovine rushing to see that doctor strange mediocrity, yet none of them will flock to watch a David Lynch masterpiece. I truly pity them.

    How?

I just don't like action films that much, Heat is a masterpiece but that aside I can take or leave him, Thief did nothing for me and Miami Vice I really didnt care for although I do still want to see The Insider

The picture I recently saw was a story about love, deception, greed, lust and...unbridled enthusiasm. Billy was a simple country boy. You might say a cockeyed optimist, who got himself mixed up in the high stakes game of world diplomacy and international intrigue.

Why are you using Lynch in your pretentiousness joke it doesn’t work if you use one of the most unpretentious creators of all time in the joke

Use an actual pretentious nerd like Andrzej Zulawski (one of my fav directors btw)

Every last one of his characters speaks in metaphors and philosophical lines exclusively and acts over the top like they are bound to a play

Totally works for his films btw rewatching On The Silver Globe rn and its still one of the most ambitious films ever made
