drive is a great movie, although ryan gosling, mostly great btw, had a few over awkward scenes with the love interest, there's like 30 second periods in the film they just stare at each other blankly. i know it's supposed to show how cold his character is and how crazy he is, but it is insanely awkward to watch those scenes back, i'm screaming at the screen BRO SAY A LINE OR SOMETHING

  • watched skinnimarink, or about 30 minutes of it, turned that garbage off, i can respect the director making the film happen on a next to nothing budget, and i respect how well it has done under said low budget, however that film was possibly the worst film i ever seen. the directors idea of creepy or scary is showing you a shot of a roof, i see that s*** every night when i go to bed and i wake up to it every morning, so how the f*** can it be scary. no storyline, minimal dialogue, may as well be a silent film. s*** had a runtime of an hour and 40 minutes too. awful.

  • i watched the NXIVM documentary as well that HBO done. that s*** was insane!

also shout out to the best documentary i ever seen - the imposter. what a f***ing STORY.

i got a feeling the junkie brother in the family killed the missing boy, the family knew and tried to cover it up by taking in this stranger they must have known wasn't their missing son, as much as you would wish to believe it was, you would know it wasn't, and having a stranger live in your house who is a pretender is also a massive issue, enough for them to kick him out and report to police but they didn't, they ran with it as far as they could until the conman was figured out. that family be hiding something

i know it's a controversial opinion but i cannot stand jason statham. he reminds me too much of danny dyer, same sort of english LETS AVE YAAAA attitude/personality, s*** is mad cringe, i don't buy that he's a badass, unlike keanu reeves who is the f***ing MAN

also has that steven seagal thing going on where i just don't buy that he's trained in any tried and tested martial arts, aside from BJJ which he is a purple belt in, which is more than i can say for steven seagall tbf, his martial art is literally useless in a fight scenario, unless the other guy is just useless

  • got the criterion but haven't watched yet

He's a cool dude he just has the Liam Neeson problem where all his damn movies look alike just with different backgrounds on the movie cover

  • A24 has 2 new documentaries, one about an animal sanctuary (My Mercury, on Amazon Prime) and one about Dr. John Mew the founder of the TikTok craze "mewing" (Open Wide, on Netflix) but I cannot find either for download.

Watching the animal sanctuary one rn
