What type of job do you work and how often do you call out sick (or whatever other excuse) for no other reason than not wanting to go in?
More importantly to my interests: how do you feel about yourself when you do this? I feel like a child who can't grow the f*** up, but man I just feel so tired and run down these days (and I JUST started the job a month ago).
I often wake up 2 or so hours before my alarm and spend the time with my eyes closed just dreading going in and spending the 8 hours at my f***ing desk, dealing with these f***ing people. And the job really isn't even "bad" to begin with. I'm actually quite lucky, hence my frustration with myself when I decide to call out.
Does anyone relate? Or am I just immature?
Maybe try to get a better mindset. I def have days where I just wanna ghost work since I WFH, but then I remind myself how grateful I should be to have a decent paying job and not struggling
I always tell people I’m a big believer in mental health days. I don’t feel bad about it at all. I just try to take them when I really need them
i did it often when i worked in retail, did not give a single f***
i have a comfy wfh job currently though and don't do it often, i just work for about an hour then put a stapler on my spacebar to stay active in ms teams and f*** off for a while :elon:

This is psychotic bro
Why? Unhealthy, sure, but psychotic?
You immature cause you got a responsibility
And you yourself said you started a month ago so you can't be doing it like this
I know its the era to relate to anti-work stuff but that don't mean you can be irresponsible on stuff you agreed to do, you got a desk job

Taking time for yourself=irresponsibility??

You read what he said?
You read what he said?
If he hates his job that bad he's gonna undoubtedly burn himself out

He should quit then if he hate it that much instead of burning out

Gotta find something else first

“Better mindset” is easy for you to say when you work from home. We have no clue what type of work OP is doing. He could be doing overtime in a very physically or mentally draining job where you need an additional day off every now and then.
He should quit then if he hate it that much instead of burning out
Or... maybe just take an extra day off to collect himself instead of quitting his job.
For reference I’m no lazy person, I’ve only called out twice in the past year due to legitimate illness. But I understand if someone else needs to if they’re exhausted like OP sounds.
