I was responding to the sentiment that this creates and that if one were to strive for complete police defunding (which some people actually do), situations like CHAZ would arise. I am all for police reform, but don’t label it police defunding even if its taking some money from them. I get that it gets the anarchists on your side with a name like that, but it does no good to society.
If you want to reform the police, maybe labelling the movement “reform the police” instead of “defund the police” would do more good.
Would probably bring actual change as you wouldn’t alienate 80% of the population just by the name of your movement.

A shocking amount of people don’t have a single clue how the government works. Things like budget allocation are foreign to them. There’s even quite some people who don’t have a clue what electoral votes are. The American education system has failed in some vital aspects. They don’t prepare kids well enough for the real world. Schools should mainly teach kids how to get jobs and how the economy and government works if you ask me. Things like physics are nice, but the majority of people will never use it again in their lives.
