Apr 20, 2020Kendrick is potentially the goat but otherwise TDE just seems so disjointed as a group, like there are massive gaps in talent. GXFR is actually a group, and they release way more consistent music (even if it is repetitive) way more frequently

Redemption wasn’t iffy and it won jay rock a Grammy. Black panther was 2 year 2 months. Chasing Summer was a great project.

Look I’m a huge TDE fan but it feels like their talent hasn’t been pulling their weight. When you compare them to Dreamville who has been getting grammies, selling records, and having their strong artists releases some of their strongest projects, it feels like they’ve eclipsed

Dreamville has won one Grammy. And that is by their big dawg J Cole.
TDE has 3 platinum artist. Dreamville has one
TDE has released 5 projects since 2018.
Dreamvillle has released like 6.
Because they’re currently not on their main artist album cycle doesn’t mean they have been eclipsed.One of the biggest tracks on dreamers 3 had Kendrick on the hook and the other has reason on the song.
You can’t be the top because another label in on tour and in process of making albums.
Plus I think it’s safe to assume that TDe would have a few project out if not for corona.

they're really great pure hip hop but it's not the type of music everyone will listen to like some of tdes stuff
