A platinum album isn’t hits. TDE without Kendrick still hit metrics that they don’t is what I’m saying. Stop overlooking the overarching theme. You have to subtract literally everything TDE did post 2011 to make this comparison work.
I’m generalizing. Basically anything that’s officially on paper, Grammy nominations, sales, hits I can’t argue with.
One thing Griselda has over TDE that can’t be argued is more consistency with their releases.
Whose in the group!
Thug
Gunna
Lil Keed
Yung Kayo
Lil Duke
and a few others that are still bubbling
It’s subjective nah mean. Flow wise, voice wise, delivery wise, lyrical content wise I prefer Westside over Kendrick.
I personally love Kendrick’s music overall but hate his voice (not delivery but voice) and think at times he raps alot of gibberish that don’t resonate with me
Honestly the production is the best part about Kendrick's music, not the rapping
Lol we already talked about this.
But they can't be the top, they haven't put out an album in a year and a half.
We can judge them by their next output. But Dreamville, QC doing more rn.
SiR just dropped a great album last year so unless you’re talking about their major acts then that’s false

Yes I've already taken my L itt.
Even Schoolboy dropped last year so I was wylin.

That my point. Griselda in their first four did just as much as TDe did when they started.
No way they would keep this up once they get bigger. Check this out.

Thug
Gunna

So you’re saying they are the best?
and more relevant yes
What metrics are we going by? What makes them better?
What metrics are we going by? What makes them better?
idk, all of that is subjective
But they're more relevant right now with Thug and Gunna alone, that's for sure

Yes but the question is surpass TDE. Are you saying that label has surpassed TDE? I’m confused. There aren’t things that aren’t subjective.
Griselda already passed in quality...
Forget numbers the music speaks for itself
Also F*** Crash Talk

To surpass TDE's prime? I give YSL about two more years
TDE a little more musically inclined while Griselda is just bars and beats. Nothing really special but a cool little press release run here and there

What metrics are you using to determine that?

Relevancy... Thug and Gunna are huge already, they just need a couple more people to catch up to them popularity wise
Music is subjective
With westside dropping a pretty great project yesterday, what do you think Griselda is missing to top TDE and surpass it
it already happened everyone better then tde

Relevancy? Lol. How do you measure relevancy and why is that the only criterion you are using.
And it their peak and now None will ever be more relevant than kendrick was at his most relevant .
