People's personalities have more to do with their experiences (especially early in life) than their DNA imo. And its definitely possible to change, but can be extremely difficult
Language changes too much over the years for it to be a trait that a baby can be born with
Also say your parents immigrated from another country to America. Just like that any evolution in your family tree’s ability to speak from the womb just reset completely
it's called evolution
some people say in 2000 years babies will know how to talk from the jump
just like how babies know how to express emotions now, nobody teached them that
Ironic that you'd say this in a post where you use a word that doesn't exist
People can absolutely change.
I should know, I'm one who did it.
of course you can
it's 70% environment and nurture (as a child cause thats where the brain is most malleable imo)
greatest example is rape victims / heavy abuse children turning to sociopaths later on
It's way too complicated to be able to say it's x percent environment & x genetic

i firmly stand on it
if you bias your child towards a certain practice, chances are he's going to be proficient at it, eg: reading & vocab, arithmetics, sports..
same goes with mental attributes
not to say there is 0 component of genetic predisposition cause that would be stupid

Nah i agree that generally people overestimate the influence of genetics compared to environment, but you can't rly capture the influence of either in a percentage is what im saying bc the interaction between the two makes it more complicated

imagine having a full blown conversation with a baby fresh out of the womb. spooky as hell.
