    no it isn't. disbelieving something when there is no actual proof isn't much of a claim. it's more like common sense

    we would not have to "claim" we disbelieve if people never claimed they did believe. so it's up to believers to prove the existence

    there is no “actual proof” when it comes to God because it is supposed to be not of this world aka transcendent, the whole “proving God’s existence” thing is on faulty premises from the beginning regardless, that’s yet another product of Western secular culture demanding all concepts be met on scientific grounds when things like God’s existence or the nature of consciousness belongs to philosophy

    it isn’t up for scientific inquiry

    those are natural laws and order of the world, yeah

    there is nothing intrinsically scientific about any of it

    you’re conflating reality with the study of science, and i reject that they existed before they were “observed” there is nothing that exists independent from a mind

    exactly. does anything really exist without an awareness of it.

    mind and existence are interlinked

    precisely, all science does is a***yze the different patterns and things that we observe empirically as it appears to our mind/senses

    it doesn’t say anything about the nature of the reality, it says s*** about reality as it relays itself to us

    Nah in all seriousness though, you are right. If I didn’t have my personal experiences and feelings, I’d probably find it hard believe in God too. Or be skeptical. So I think it’s something more internal or intrinsic. If somebody doesn’t believe, I understand why. People don’t have much to go off of, no proof, etc.

    Idk.

    im sure you’re well-meaning, but this weird skeptic position you take on pretty much any syllogism is just a wee bit exhausting man

    you dont think the know-it-all attitude you show is exhausting, and all your attempts at using big words? i dont think you even know what syllogism means. im not trying to debate you or even disagree on all this im literally just asking you questions about something that you are much more confident about then everyone else here. feel free to not answer, idc, but dont get annoyed when people question you as you apparently speak authoritatively on extremely contentious subjects acting like you have them all figured out already

    im really not that interested in this topic im just interested in your point of view so thats why i ask simple questions

    it isn’t a know it all attitude, it’s exhaustion from refuting the same exact arguments over and over again, it’s bordering on blatant disingenuousness at this point

    er uh a syllogism is an argument, it’s not really a big word man

    i speak authoritatively because i actually sat down and did the reading + research to come to my views, so far itt it has been nothing but your run of the mill enlightened agnostic, milquetoast atheists criticizing the Dawkins Abrahamic god strawman, inadvertent supporters of scientism and a wealth of philosophically bereft morons pontificating on religions without knowing literally any of the philosophy or any of the perrenialist attributes of God, so excuse me if i start waxing a little offensively

    While true, Jesus wasn’t a socialist towards the entire world. Just his nation of people. Israel by nature is an aristocracy but due to the corruption from leadership, Christ administered the Torah back to His people. Leviticus 19 explains this.

    syllogism doesnt literally just mean argument, im not saying its some big confusing obscure word, i just think you were using it wrong and if you are meaning to simply say "argument" then just say that, there is no point to make your language less clear just using a more obscure word (incorrectly)

    i just think a little change in how youre wording things here/your attitude could go a long way, this isnt like a philosophy forum or college essay its ktt where a bunch of random people are gonna read your posts. phrases like "philosophically bereft morons" just come off too pretentious im sorry do whatever you want tho at least you are contributing to the site with actual thoughts instead of just random s***posts that flood all the sxns

    there's no love in atheism. how do you not at least believe in a force of something special happening in the universe? it doesn't have to be a big mf in the sky making s*** happen.

    but how could you outright deny the possibility of something just being beyond our senses that we have yet to discover. it's just arrogance

    i gave you a literal actual syllogism in MSCT and you didn’t even engage with it the odds of me using it wrong if i can actually create one that fits with the definition is pretty slim my man

    i don’t deem syllogism a word that conjures up confusion, all the words i use are simply the way i express myself, they come to my mind as i type, if you don’t like the way i write idk what to tell you dude

    then i guess im pretentious im annoyed. atheism is a very respectable and tenable position when it has actual philosophical reasoning undergirding it and when it actually understands the theistic position, not coming in with your own preconceived notions and biases of what God is supposed to be and how religions are (which has been exhibited literally up and down this thread) i have zero respect for it

    @emu

    Biblical language. It’s poetic and coded.
    A day is a thousand years in Gods eyes - 2 Peter 3:8

    When earth was made in 6 days, it means 6000 years. 1000 years per day. 500 years per evening & 500 years per daytime.

    For us:
    Mountains = Government Structures ⛰
    1 Week = 7 Years
    Stars ⭐️ = People (Numbers 24:14-21)
    Angels = Angels as well as Human Beings (Malak is Hebrew, which means King, Angel & Messenger/Prophet)
    Eagles = Chariots (flying vehicles)
    Clouds = Chariots (flying vehicles)

  • like there was a literal f***ing idiot who came in here “hurr durr religions kill people herp a durr god is a harmful delusional concept” most self respecting theists agree that killing people in the name of God is obviously and morally f***ing wrong, to conflate religion with killing people is dishonest and it’s lazy argumentation

    it's more so that the central cultural lessons of the bible are in line with what communism is about: mutual common prosperity.

    communism didn't exist but the ideals that informed it have obviously existed even before humanity

  • Feb 7, 2022

    Being agnostic is the safest bet tbh because truthfully none of us know what the f*** is the truth. Religious people who love saying that their beliefs are the way the truth and the life are just parroting their indoctrination
