  • Feb 5, 2022

Its always weird to me when atheist disprove God with facts and by taking apart bible quotes and stuff. Like God is clearly a deity that is above all of that. Thats the whole point of it. So „debunking“ has no purpose whatsoever.

Something tells me you don't want anything explained to you

Perhaps an atheist doesn’t believe in an Aristotelian prime mover at all

There is precedent to this, in Hinduism the universe has a start and end, but only as part of an infinite cycle of creation and destruction - is there truly a start to the universe here? Maybe our universe is infinite in time, maybe the Big Bang wasn’t the start, maybe there wasn’t a God either, but it just always was

this is the same idea expressed in many other cultures, so they all share the same idea of beginning and end being an infinite loop

Norses have Jörmungandr (Serpent of Midgard)

Learned about him from God of War

    The Kabbalistics call it Leviathan

The Cross of Leviathan is a symbol formed from an infinity

    The Gnostics call it Ouroboros

The Egyptians call it Uraeus and had 2 versions, the coiled one and the risen one depicting breaking the cycle

life's a simulation, wake up, Neo

I've always seen science especially Physics and Astronomy as the explanation of God's workmanship. People into Astrology will understand this.

1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge
3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

    Psalm 19:1-6

Just beautiful. There are many verses where The Most High speaks about the creation of the celestial bodies. There are verses about the Pleiades, Orion etc. Even the layout of the 7 Pleiades or Sisters is similar to the 7 Churches of the New Testament. It's a testament of how accurate The Most High is within Heaven and on Earth. There are more in depth verses about the creation of the earth and universe as they do have their purpose.

I wish we could have a time machine to speak to the Ancient Israelites during their prime. Their knowledge of the God was so potent. Honestly feel for those who don't believe in God. Religion has nothing to do with Him; the Bible, Jesus, Prayer, Repenting and Fasting are the tools to His knowledge.

Tbf i dont think any serious thinking atheist has ever claimed to disprove God, it's more like they have no reason to believe in something that itself hasn't been proven. To them, atheism is the default position

@lil_ufo it's amazing how Video Games put in the knowledge!

I just don't understand how almost every prior ruling civilization all agreed about our place in time but this rulership has so much confusion man?

The Diluvian Period was commonly known, from Noah, Gilgamesh, Greeks etc. That's about 4000 years of knowledge from generations to generations passed down.

Why is this culture denying history?

We know much more about the world/universe now that previous civilizations didn't understand, so we no longer need to use religion to explain many things we didn't understand back then. Advances in science and technology have explained many things in the last 4000 years

Well, not about disproving God. But building counter arguments for different claims that God exists. Its not a default position in the sense that God defies logic so theres no point in that kind of mental masturbation

I think the difference is agnostics think that a God is at least plausible whereas atheists have no reason to think it is

Maybe high atheist doctrine entails a rejection of metaphysics altogether (there is no “why”), while the stuff about debunking Bible verses is folk atheism

Similarly, the Church Fathers endlessly debated the finer points of Christology while average Christians followed a “lower” (less doctrinal) and sometimes syncretic version of the faith
