It’s also probably hard for him to even care because the most hate he got as an artist was during his prime when the internet was rampant with comments like “lil gayne” or “if Tupac was alive, lil Wayne would be working at McDs”

The hate he gets now is nothing compared to those days and he probably feels he’s got nothing to prove anymore. He just raps because he has fun doing it now.

thing is with wayne is he just talks his s***. he had more personal songs in the past but he just wants to talk his s***. past couple years he’s had good features but after C3 he never really recaptured the magic

His mixtapes and features were always consistent.

Wayne just struggled in the albums department. C5 was a good return to form but Funeral messed it all up.

Hopefully, C6 will live up to the hype.

He just isn’t wavy anymore. We keep thinking of reasons and there are a lot of problems: voice, delivery, content.

But the truth is he just isn’t wavy anymore. He’s never outside. Hasn’t had a hit in forever. The IT factor is there, just nearly depleted. He’s used up. Yes men, no quality control. And what bothers me most is we have rose tinted glasses for him because he gave us hundreds of amazing songs.

Nas uses boring beats and it sounds like the same beat over and over reworked a bit. There's a reason nobody listens to him anymore.

People actually want Lil Wayne features nobody cares about Eminem besides whites.

C4 got arguably the worst raps of Waynes career just simply because that was the time he got obsessed with those slow ass 1 2 gotcha bars as if he was saying something profound to us but he was just saying dumbass s*** like “all about my riches, my name should be richard”

I feel like Wayne be trying to make songs/do flows he THINKS are modern and would connect with the younger fans but they just come off as jarring and extremely out of touch. It's ultimately a byproduct of him being so in his own world that he doesn't really know what's going on in rap anymore
