I don’t deny he’s had help but you agree that someone in the studio giving him a line here or there or tweaking the cadence is a lot different than Yachty writing Jumbotron, or Vory writing mob ties.

From the body of work, we can assume that Drake is nice with the pen but sometimes needs a little help with the creative flows on the more pop adjacent hip hop songs

Kendrick clearly respects drakes pen and was firing on all cylinders because of it.

    I don’t deny he’s had help

So then don’t use the excuse of “he writes the lyrical all by himself” when we know for a fact he’s had help with them.

And again. Stop calling anything that’s not over a “real hip hop” type beat a pop song. Mob ties isn’t pop or pop adjacent. Neither is Jumbotron.

Also what the hell is so creative and out of the box about the flows on 10 bands or RICO?

    Come on dawg get real

    i did say pop ✨ adjacent ✨

But fair enough, I’ll say he gets help but not enough to warrant discrediting his pen

How much of those albums was his pen though
We just don't know at this point

Doesn’t matter. All of these rappers have writers and we know it. Jay, Wayne, Ye, and Dre got bars from Drake. If we aren’t counting Drake, we aren’t counting them.

Kendrick bodied drake in this beef but drake will go down as one of the greats due to his long run (varying lengths depending on who you ask) , undeniable hits, and his impact in music in general by assembling a great team of producers/writers/singers etc changing the soundscape of the early 2010’s

Dude couldn’t even throw bruh a feature or an album placement. At least Kanye through CyHi on a bunch of songs

Damn. Kendrick really ruined Drake's legacy. Crazy.
