never met a happy MD or a healthy family with MD parents ngl
I have personally, but it's a fairly rare thing. The "happiest" (from my limited pov) MDs I've ever met are the ones who are older and psuedo-retired, at the point where they only work a few days any given week or month. Medicine is a golden handcuffs type career though, because the pay is directly proportional to the amount of hours you're working unless you're in a leadership position of a hospital or own your own practice. Plus there is the reality that you're expected to carry a brutal workload. If you aren't willing to, there's plenty of other people that will. I used to really dislike a lot of the doctors I'd met in life, but as I grow older I start to understand that its a byproduct of a toxic system.
If you're a puppy playing around with a bunch of junkyard dogs, it would be hard to not pick up a few fleas.
if you tie your happiness to your achievements you will be chasing it forever
at the same time i get it tho, im content but long for more and i wont be ‘happy’ until i make it
