well a vast majority of albums that are extremely long usually have issues that directly tie into the fact that its extremely long

i remember this interview from like 2011-2013 where drake said he wants to retire by 35 and cap at 7/8 albums and hes almost 35 with 5 albums, 3 are debatable classics but 2 are meh

Take Care is only 10 minutes shorter than Scorpion and 1 minute shorter than Views yet its considered his best album even to casuals. I never heard about anyone complaining about that album being too long.

people are going to have to replay the albums after the first day anyways, I don't understand how the number of tracks is so relevant. U talking a less than 5% difference in streaming numbers at most I bet

Id even go far as to say people wanna listen to a album all the way through even LESS if they see that s*** is 24 tracks lol

Drake finding that balance might be harder than for any artist. What’s filler for one type of drake fan the best track for another type of drake fan. He’s quite aware what it would take to please the hip hop more purist type fan “10 of these” but he’s also trying to please the fan who wants the slap, the RnB, the light hearted pop vibes, the straight bars etc
