A $10-15K budget can get you hella far for your first car. You can get an Audi, Lexus or Beamer for that price range that isn't a beater and is reliable. You just have to make sure it has maintenance records, is a reliable model/year, and is in good condition.

You'd be surprised the amount of cars you can find for under $10K.

I think you should honestly TELL people itt to try and sway you to other cars. Lots of great cars out there I never considered until it was time to buy my car.

Okay I’ll bite. Decent Lexus or Audi models that I could get used in that price range?

Also yea I agree with that other guy but didn’t say anything cuz you asked about these two

If you’re worried about insurance repairs will cost a lot more

Highly suggest looking at Honda’s Toyota’s and nissans

You can still find some nice looking cars at that range like maybe a Scion FR-S? Accord Coupe? 350z even?

Looked these up and out of the 3 I like the FR-S the most, but the MPG on all 3 don’t look much better than the Camaro or 300 so in that case there’s not much incentive to go that route instead because I still prefer the bodies of the original 2. Unless something like the FR-S is that much sturdier.

    Get @Coffee_Nerd for the Audis.

I was in your price budget looking for cars to buy.

    A GREAT Lexus?

2010ish Lexus IS350: Beautiful car. 300 HP or such. Steering wheel f***in moves when you start the car. Push to start. Smooth interior. Beautiful. MPG is definitely s*** though if you're an aggressive driver like me. I swear by this car, I would've got one if I had the money. I was just a LITTLE off.

Mid 2000s Lexus IS300: Tuner car that was in like every racing game. Nice cars and they have their little problems. Should be a little cheaper to get into, a bit closer to the beater side instead of the luxury of the 2010 IS350, but it's a cool platform if you wanna do s*** to your car eventually.

If you want a sporty car and aren't too worried about MPG, that IS350 will be GODLY. Sometimes wish I had one, but I love the car I got and the price I got it for.

Just remember, people who get into the FR-S/BRZ platform get mocked about how slow their car is for a reason

If you're looking for speed, remember that

2013 was a great and reliable year for audis. I would especially recommend the S4. It is exactly what you're looking; price range, exciting, performance, sexy exterior and packed with features like push start.

Personally my next one is either a 2020 S4 or RS3.

If you're looking for an aesthetic build, look through here and look at some cars and then check out the reliability of them and other factors to get a good hint

I'm telling you, the more cars you're aware of before you buy your first one, the better. You'll never have the "what if" regret because you see something you like after

op I know how it feels to wanna whip a fly v. I been there done that. That camaro is gonna get old.....real quick. And if it’s not an srt300 then leave it alone. I’m not saying that these cars won’t last but Im telling you not to be surprised if the Chrysler gives you problems.

This isn’t me hating on you but you’re not balling like that . 10-15k fam I really recommend you get a Toyota or Honda and thug it out until you can get what you really want and save the rest. Do you have new clothes ? What’s Your laptop and your phone looking like? Do you even have 10-15k saved up? Can you move out of your crib and get your own place ? If it’s no then you’re not gettin money and you need to forget about trying to get a car that you can only kinda afford. I know it’s not gonna be an SS camaro so why even do that yourself?

If you had money you’d get what you really wanted. It’s your choice but I’ve been through misery at 19 buying fly s*** when I realized I had no money for real.

Hell, if you're not looking for something too big an S3 would actually be perfect as a first car. I recommend a 2015 S3 which is still in your price range and since it's only 5 years old you can find some with low miles.

It's a fast, very up-to-date, small car that is easy to park anywhere, reliable and with very good handling. @Episode

An S3 . Yeah if you’re someone’s daughter going to college. You call yourself a man driving that ? You know if you had money you wouldn’t even look at that little thing. You’re better off with a jap. Op can even perhaps lease a brand new Toyota or Honda etc. with his budget

You guys are trying to squeeze your pockets into these luxury cars when you know that’s not even what you truly want

It's powerful, very fun to drive, good handling, perfect for 1 person or a couple and very affordable. So what's the problem with that?

You only sound like someone overcompensating with a big car. Don't worry about me though, I have a 2016 S5 but I only compromised with that one because I couldn't afford a brand new S4 back then and this S5 was pretty much everything I wanted.

Big cars are just annoying when you don't need the extra space. And nobody enjoys debt. Being done with payments is always nice.

Ok that’s great I agree, title in hand. If you got bread then buy the s*** out 2020. Most people can’t afford the title to a 2020 car.

Which is why I’m trying to say, if you get that Chevy, put yourself in an SS or don’t get it at all. If you’re not getting bread like that , people should sit down until they really get something they want. I’m and I’m happy for you for real that you even have a budget that wide but I’m trying to keep you from doing what I did when I was younger

I’m happy you have your car man real talk. I’m not trying to prove anything to the public, small cars are stress free and cool. Buts if it’s on some upper level stuff like an Audi, I’m highly assuming that a person got it because that’s the best that they can afford when they could have gotten a brand new loaded accord for less than that.

I enjoy driving and bigger cars are known for not being as good to handle. I also just hate bigger cars lol. My girl loves SUVs so she’s the one with the space if we need it. She’d love to upgrade to an RSQ8 or Urus lol.

    Get a Tesla

  • Feb 6, 2020

I would have suggest a Toyota 86/BRZ where the used models come around at 15-18k and is a two door. Yeah, doesn’t have highway power, but when you got a nice open road and canyon curves to play with, the car comes alive. Also, not to mention since it’s Toyota, the aftermarket is huge and makes replacement parts easy.
