Disclaimer: Peers don't include Kanye or pre-2009 dust.

SFG, Take Care, IYRTITL, and Views are all classics making Drakes classic total to be 4.

Before you guys start staying wb NWTS!!!! Yes it has some of his best rapping and prod but the impact doesnt come close to these 4 so suck it up!

SFG: The impact on mixtape culture, the sound Drake and 40 birthed, the impressive genre blending are some reasons why SFG is considered a classic. You has an artist who dabbled in rap, rnb, pop, indie rock and each of these songs felt like he was a veteran in each respective genre. The boy said it himself when he boasts bout the hood niggas having to get along with the hipsters and his early shows. The versality was scarily impressive. And the drowsy, hypnotic strip club ambience 40 created on this project wasnt don’t before in rap. There was something here for everybody. On Ingant S*** he went bar for bar with the hottest rapper in the world at that time, he crooned with Omarion in Brias Interlude, and he confessed his love for the girl on Little Bit. The mixtape was critically acclaimed and became a quick cult classic landing it a Grammy nomination. You could make a claim that without SFG.

Take Care: Probably his most beloved album just based on the nostalgia album. We all know the rapping on here isn’t as impressive as NWTS. But Take Care just holds that special place in our hearts because of how vulnerable and uncertain Drake is about where he is at this pint in his career but to him he’s simply just enjoying it while it can and a lot of us could relate at that time. It contains various quintessential Drake songs such as Marvin’s Room, The Motto, and HYFR. With impressive deep cuts like Good Ones Go and Look What Youve Done. And I think when it’s all said and done and we’re able to look through an objective lenses we’ll relaize that Take Care is one of the greatest albums of our generation.

IYRTITL: I can’t remember a recent moment in music that was more exciting than the weekend IYRTITL dropped. Out of nowhere on a Thursday night, we all got to hear that beat change on Know Yourself that made all of us bop our heads even harder. This album is def not without its controversy, but if the music is great, the music is great. Ironically this album many “rap heads” choose when commenting on Drakes classic records. This album solidified him as a mixtape legend and the most popping thing in rap. It was very experimental for drake, who isn’t really known for stepping outside his comfort zone which he completely dominates. Songs like Madonna and Star 67 really highlighted the project and gave it such a polished sound. It could one of the best winter albums to date.

Views: This was the album where Drake transformed for rap megastar to global music superstar. You couldn’t escape this album in summer 2016 no matter how much you wanted to. Controlla and One Dance ruled the charts and the clubs. Too Good and Feel No Ways were Drakes best pop performances since Hold On Were Going Home. But like a lot Drake albums the critics were loud and and unforgiving. Most were expecting a rap magnum opus with moody beats like were teased with in 2014, but Drakes path was derailed by the ghostwriting allegations changing the whole sound of what was supposed to be VFT6, instead we got a pop rap classic. And whatever Views was supposed to be Drake must be sure glad he scrapped it because of his plan was truly to make the product jump off the shelf and to be the biggest thing in music, the album we got was the best way to do it.

Nope. Only 3 classics. Views doesn’t have the quality to be a classic. I get ur argument for it but the quality didn’t live up to it.

Too many songs man. If he cut it down it had the potential. S*** like Grammys, Pop Style etc wasn’t needed

Ridiculously stupid argument, too many songs? And the songs you mentioned aren’t even bad. I hate when length is attempted to be a justification for quality.

He's at least one of the greatest of all time.

It's worthless defending him now because the hate towards him has actually nothing to do with music, it's just people tired of constant overwhelming commercial success.

Jay had his phase where he was discredited and hated, Kanye too and Wayne more than everyone. And just like all of them, Drake will end up loved the moment he's not the overwhelming #1 option. The hate will then turn to the new guy at that spot, be it Kendrick, Cole or Trav.

He’s got 4 classics, it just can’t exclude NWTS. That is by far is most complete, consistent, and polished album. While SFG was a great intro to Drake and 40, it hasn’t aged as well and doesn’t have the high points as the other 3 you mentioned + NWTS.

It depends how you're defining Classic.

to us it's a classic ofc. but in the grand scheme of things, if you ask the average music listener on the streets they wont even acknowledge it. i know this from experience. when the remaster dropped i spent the day explaining to a bunch of people that it's not new.
