Wonder if watching Rogue One after will feel more rewarding, or in fact make the film look worse because it’ll come off as a watered down version of this.
i watched R1 right after and it benefits from Andor so much
even little looks that characters give to eachotherr have so much context now
it literally all makes perfect sense, the ruthlessness of Casian, Saw’s paranoia of even other rebel cells. how Casian is primed for force talk, how he carries a prison in his mind. Also seeing DS finally completed after Krennic’s scrambling all season was satisfying. and just seeing the DS in general knowing everything the Empire did to make it a reality just recontextualizes everything
the street battle on Jedha and how the tension rises until it boils over feels like the end of an Andor episode, h
it also makes me realize how much the Force is cosmically putting pieces into place. For Bodi to defect at the SAME TIME that the rebellion got knowledge of DS is wild, no wonder Saw was like “today of all the days” when Jin falls into his lap THE SAME DAY an imperial pilot defects, which is also THE SAME WEEK the rebellion first knows of the DS… wild
well, do they destroy the death star?
All that s*** they went though only for the Death Star to be blown up by a dorky 17 year old with a bowl haircut.

One in a million shot tbf lol hate when people make it seem like it was so easy
Simply put, this is Star Wars at this point as far as I’m concerned. All this other s*** might as well be Nick Jr

So this is the final season?
yes...would be dope to get some spinoffs though for some of the characters who may have survived Rogue One's events
ideally I would have preferred them to stretch it out another season or two instead of the 1 year time jumps this season but I understand the showrunner and actors schedules probably would have made that difficult
I knew they would show Bix again but I wasn't expecting it like that
people were speculating the child is Poe/Oscar Isaac from the new trilogy but I'm not sure the math adds up there haha

I low-key thought he could be for a second
Disney gonna have andors son show up in a future movie or something
I'd love if this same team did a Saw Gerrera show. I wonder if Forest Whitaker would be down.

sadly it made r1 worse for me, i loved rogue one at release but watching it after andor the quality difference is so noticable. R1 is a cameo epic moment fest and the pacing is way too fast, it was kind of jarring going from andor to that tbh, characters like jyn and the donnie yen character are not fleshed out at all. Rogue one as a mini series after andor wouldve hit so hard
I like that they had so many aliens in this to make it feel like star Wars but I wish they had some aliens in main roles aside from having all those sick costumes/make-up just to be background characters

Probably give us Jyn’s perspective a lil bit more as well.

I agree about it feeling rushed for sure
Reshoots didn't help with that either
Dont think we’ll ever get anything on this scale and with this quality again
Disney would be foolish to not move forward with this level of quality for the Star Wars franchise

dave filoni not gonna let gilroy cook man
Started the show recently (on S1 E9 rn). I was watching the episode, and my dad, who’s already seen it, casually drops, “That Imperial officer is with the Rebellion.” Like, bro, why are you out here spoiling stuff for no reason?
it's not even the first time this mf has done something like this
