Do you ever try to introduce them to deep cuts?
If it's friends or family I'll play some a hidden gem hoping that something will spark and get them to look beneath the surface.
I only do this with artists they love and are somewhat familiar with.
Not really worth the time. Anyone that only listen to hits aren’t real music fans anyway(imo). Not going out the way for those people.
I personally will not understand how or why someone would pay for Spotify or Apple Music just to listen to the same songs that they can listen to on the radio for free. But whatever.
lifetime ban from the barbershop cus i played an unreleased jay verse on the aux
It always baffles me when people just make playlists of songs that already play on repeat on the radio
Like you forreal never get tired of hearing the same thing every day ?
If I do something like that I just put it on. I won’t tell em what I’m doing cause then they gon a***yze the song differently
If I find something I reallyyy think there's a chance they'd like then yeah but if they obviously don't care I don't try again

If you rather listen to the same songs you hear on the radio all day instead of digging into these artists catalogue and getting a better feel for them, you not a real fan to me if you’re offended that’s just too damn bad.
basically all of us were like that though unless your first taste of music was deep cuts you were probably just listening to s*** on the radio, found artists you liked then checked out their other stuff. idk why you’d say it isn’t worth your time to show someone deep cuts when that’s how you convert them
We really gatekeeping music?
no they just aren’t music listeners like us s*** ain’t gatekeeping lol

Dude is offended because he falls into the category you're describing. Damn
The only time anyone gives a f*** is if you're at a function and you better not be playing any deep cuts then so
