It's just hitting me Cate actually was conducting those pieces. Like that wasn't her just acting, those pieces in the film were live recordings that she was conducting right there and is credited on the soundtrack for

she also learned piano for this

This was interesting… thought it would’ve kind of gotten more into the paranoid thriller part, but came out to be more of a character study. Also wtf is a biopoc pangender?!

Yeah that flew over my head

She’s disgusted by the dynamic, which is made more obvious to her now. These are poor women who need money. And she’s able to pick one like ordering off a menu. So easy. Its lost all its fun. And I think it made her realize how f***ed her power dynamic was, and how she used women. But there’s also a hypocrisy to it all. To see a different culture. Juxtaposed with the American cancel culture.

I also kinda saw it like they were sitting in front of her with her hand raised like she was conducting them and taking her pick at which one she wanted mirroring her predatory ways

can someone explain me the whole Olga thing, like why or for who was she live-streaming? Did she take ‘revenge’ for someone (Krista?). And what does Lydia being attacked by that wolf(?) symbolise? movie left me w a lot of questions tbh

I think wolf was in her mind. Maybe because it’s a predator animal and that’s what she was being accused of at the time. Especially since at that moment she was chasing down the Cello player. I also didn’t understand the live streaming thing tho

that would be a good allegory indeed, but how could it have been in her mind when she did really have a fight with something/someone?

    Two questions I had were

was there any significance of Sharon needing those pills besides Tar taking them later on?

    And

the daughter was adopted by the both of them and Sharon said it’s the one relationship Tar cared about. Why can she take her away?

that could be it tbh, still find the whole live-streaming s\*\*\* talking from Olga very weird, like it was pure chance that she got elected into the orchestra, but it felt like she was some kind of master plan spy, but the story kind of ends before we get any answers about that.
